Environment and climate journalists from South Asian countries initiated this organization for creating awareness and preparation of climate changing impact on South Asian inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p>Ashis Gupta, Delhi Bureau Chief of the daily \u201cAsomiya Protidin\u201d, India, has been elected as the founder President of this newly formed journalist organization in a meeting held at the \u201cCop 27 Conference Media Center\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Karamot Ullah Biplob, Current Affairs Editor, ATN Bangla, Bangladesh, has become the founder Executive President. Asaduzzaman Samrat, the city editor of Bangladesh \u201cAmader Notun Shomoy\u201d newspaper, has been elected as the first General Secretary of this debut committee of SACCJF. Journalist Bhishma Raj Ojha of Nepal\u2019s \u201cRashtriya Sangam Sangdha\u201d (RSS) has been appointed as Assistant General Secretary.<\/p>\n<p>Also, in this first committee of South Asian Climate Change Journalists Forum (SACCJF), Masum billah of Indian \u201cThe Daily Jugshankha\u201d is as Treasurer, Rafiqul Islam Sabuj (The Daily Somoyer Alo, Bangladesh, India\u2019s Amitabh Sinha (The Indian Express, India) and Sunit kumar Bhuyan (Protidin Times, India), Pakistan\u2019s Imran Choudhry (Daily Bhulekha, Pakistan) and Rabnawaz Chowdhury (Daily Awaza, Pakistan), Nepal\u2019s Shree Ram Subedi (Nepal republic Media, Nepal) and Pragati Dhakal (Daily Karobar, Nepal), Sri Lanka\u2019s Tharushi Warishinge (Ceylon Today, Srilanka), and Bhutan\u2019s Rinjin Wangchuk (ANN) ) are as Executive Members of this committee.<\/p>\n<p>The selected journalist leaders decided and vowed to present the demands and expectations of South Asian countries to face the climate crisis globally through this journalist organization platform that will work as \u201cwhistle blower\u201d for the policy makers of the world and this region.
