Ansar and VDP are working to distribute rice in Kurigram

Golam Mostafa Ranga: Since April 9, 20 Ansar members have been deployed at special OMS outlets in 10 points of Kurigram district to maintain social distance to prevent the spread of Corona (Kovit-19) virus among the people. They will be on duty three days a week on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 3:30 pm. Battalion Ansars are also working under the leadership of magistrates in mobile courts to increase public awareness in Kurigram like all over the country. On the other hand, under the supervision of District Ansar and VDP Offices and Upazila Ansar and VDP Offices, volunteer Ansar and VDP members have already distributed health and masks among the general public to create awareness among the general public to prevent the spread of Corona (Covit-19) virus. Awareness provided various suggestions. In the present remote areas of the district, the district administration and the upazila administration are cooperating in the distribution of relief including quarantine of the people coming from abroad. In this regard, Kurigram District Ansar and VDP Additional District Commandant Md. Eftekharul Islam said, “Ansar and VDP members work at the grassroots level in any disaster in the country.” Assistant District Commandant Md. Titul Mia is working as the coordinator with the upazila departments under his overall supervision.
