Holiday is increasing till 18th May
Exclusive Correspondent: Coronavirus (Covid-19) infection is on the rise again. This time the holiday is being extended till May 16. A government official confirmed the matter on Saturday (May 2nd). However, he did not want to be named. As per the previous announcement, the holiday is coming to an end next Tuesday (May 5). The official said, “The holiday is being extended till May 16. The instructions will remain the same, but a couple of new instructions may come. They will be known only when they are notified. ‘
The official also said that the notification for extension of leave could be issued on Sunday (May 3) afternoon or Monday (May 4) morning.
State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain told Jago News in this regard, “Considering the situation, the leave may be extended. Everything will be understood in a day or two. ‘
Due to Corona, the government first announced a holiday from March 26 to April 4. Later, the leave was extended in five phases till May 5. But the corona infection situation in the country has not improved yet.
Government offices related to emergency services have already been opened to a limited extent. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has convened an inter-ministerial meeting on Sunday (May 3) to discuss the limited launch of factories, garment factories and other industries and businesses.
According to the Department of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) of the Department of Health on Saturday, the global pandemic coronavirus has infected 552 more people in the country, killing 5 infected people.
The total number of victims stood at 6,790 and the death toll stood at 175. Besides, three more have recovered. As a result, the total number of healthy patients is 16.
